On 20 July 2017 EBA Armenia and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal-Armenia signed the Memorandum of Understanding to promote bilateral business cooperation.

Yerevan, 20 July 2017 – The European Business Association in Armenia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal-Armenia signed the Memorandum of Understanding to promote bilateral business cooperation.

The EBA Armenia and the CCI Portugal-Armenia agreed to establish effective consultation, co-operation, and the exchange of information between the parties; to encourage the exchange of business trade delegations, experts and economic missions and support the following up of such visits; to support of trade facilitation via enterprise development, and the promotion of standards and best practice.

The European Business Association and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal-Armenia have also come to terms to endeavor in the interest of their respective members, to exchange economic and market information, statistic and business trade data pertaining to foreign business trade and investment wherever possible with a view to facilitate business trade contacts and activate joint projects.

In the scope of the bilateral cooperation, the EBA Armenia and the CCI Portugal-Armenia agreed to exchange any business trade related publications, magazines, periodical, directories, laws and regulations governing economic and business activities for their respective business communities whenever these are published; assist and support in the organization, promotion and participation in any business trade fairs, exhibitions, symposia, conferences, seminars and other similar events that are aimed at the promotion of business trade and investment;

Both expressed willingness to support and encourage the exchange of technical expertise know how and training opportunities between their respective members; promote investment opportunities available with the aim of encouraging bilateral investments; endeavor to identify and wherever possible eliminate any obstacles or barriers that may hinder the growth of trade and business by engaging the respective state authorities to finding suitable solutions thereto.
