Tbilisi, 12 December 2018 – On 10th of December the representative of European Business Association Armenia as the association’s delegate from Armenian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum has attended the 1st day of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum 10th Annual Assembly and the Welcome Reception hosted by the Prime Minister of Georgia Mr. Mamuka Bakhtadze.
The second day of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum’s 10th Annual Assembly kicked off in the Parliament of Georgia with the address of EU Neighbourhood & Enlargement Commissioner Mr. Johannes Hahn and opening speeches of EaP CSF Steering Committee Co-Chairs’ introductory words, opening speeches of Special Envoy For Eastern Partnership, Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria Mr. Thomas Buchsbaum and the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Mr. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan attended the last panel discussion and had an inspiring speech, stressing the key role of civil society, youth activism, political will, responsibility and engagement for the country’s success.
Within the panel discussions has been touched upon the topic of Armenia’s new opened avenues for the possible continuation and implementation of effective reforms, aimed to promote the country’s further development.
During the panel discussions the ways of combating corruption in the EU and EaP countries and the topic on the EaP in the time of change have been touched upon. This was followed by Working Group meetings, which included the presentations of the modalities of operation of WGs and a structured-networking part. The WG members exchanged opinions with the stakeholders and discussed the EaP CSF contribution to the EaP events happening in 2019.
The last day of the EaP CSF 10th Annual Assembly started with Plenary Session, discussing the EaP CSF in a time of change. During the session main points of the internal reform were presented.
