On April 18 EBA Tourism Council Regular Meeting took place within the launch of #EBAMemberHosts initiative

State officials and EBA Members and partners discuss the issues of Tourism and Hospitality sector in Armenia

Yerevan, 18 April 2019 EBA Tourism Council Meeting has been conducted with the agenda, which was developed based on the issues raised by EBA Members and partners from Hospitality and Tourism sector. During the meeting issues regarding the spheres covered by the State Tourism Committee of RA, Civil Aviation, Yerevan Municipality and Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia have been discussed. Today’s EBA Tourism Council Meeting was held as the launching event within new #EBAMemberHosts Initiative and was hosted by EBA Member Best Western Plus Congress Hotel.

During EBA Tourism Council Meeting invited speakers Mrs. Anahit Voskanyan (Tour Product Development Advisor at the State Tourism Committee), Mr. Ori Alaverdyan (Head of the Revenue Policy and  Administration Department of the Ministry of Finance), Mr. Armen Harutyunyan (Head of the Revenue Accounting and Taxation Department of the Municipality of Yerevan), Mr. Stepan Payaslyan, Deputy Director of Air Transport Regulation Department of the General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia answered the questions of EBA Members and partners regarding the respective spheres. The meeting was moderated by Mrs. Lianna Tadevosyan, General Manager of EBA Member Nova Hotel Yerevan. Agenda consisted of three sessions on spheres supervised by State Tourism Committee, Civial Aviation, Yerevan Municipality and during each of which current state and the impediments for business within Tourism and Hospitality sector and suggestions for improvement have been discussed.

EBA Tourism Council is another Public-Private Dialogue platform, created by EBA in order to voice and direct the problems of operation and needs of business development of the companies operating in Tourism and Hospitality sector. As always, EBA will do a follow on solutions, which are to be provided by Public sector representatives, taking into account the suggestions, presented by invited sector representatives.
