Yerevan, 20 November, 2019– EBA Armenia organized Round Table on Tax Administration and Legislation awareness in the scope of the EU funded Project “Strengthening EU Business Development in Armenia”. Public officials, international organization representatives, embassies, EBA Members, partners and potential members have attended the event. DWV German Business Association’s and Armenian-Italian Chamber of Commerce’s members have also attended the event. For about 100 international and local large, medium and small companies attended the Round Table․
The opening speeches were made by Mr. Gregory Tsouris (Deputy Head of Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation to Armenia) and Mr. Varos Simonyan (Deputy Minister of Economy of the RA).
During Public-Private Dialog the representatives from the government, particularly, Mr. Arman Poghosyan (Deputy Minister of Finance of the RA), Mr. Hrachya Muradyan (the Head of the Department of Administration Methodology, Procedures and Service of the SRC), and international organizations, Mrs. Yulia Ustyugova (IMF Resident Representative in Armenia), Ms. Anahit Basentsyan (World Bank Consultant of Tax Team), conducted presentations related to the tax policy, governance, administration and ideas/plans for the future. EBA Board Member organization EY Armenia representative Mr. Kamo Karapetyan (Head of Tax Practice) moderated the event and presented Transfer Pricing new regulation. At the end of the event Q/A session was held and EBA Members have risen issues related to the business environment improvement. In addition, the Coffee-break of the EBA Tax Administration and Legislation Event was sponsored by EBA Partner “IM CAFFE”, which is the only and exclusive representative of Caffè Diemme Brand in Armenia.
